Gregg Cooper

Gregg, a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, is celebrating 25 years in the business. He has worked as a freelance producer, director, sound engineer and videographer. Some of his achievements include a 2006 Telly Award for producing the national TV commercial "We See Them," for the Human Motion Institute and three Billboard Music Awards for Best Music Video Show during his tenure with the television program, Lightmusic. In 2007 Gregg received a Telly Award for the newest Human Motion Institute Commercial Campaign "Where Life Takes You". He also received two Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Digital Video from Digital Video Magazine for both the " We See Them" and "Where Life Takes You" AD Campaigns.

Before joining Viewpoint in September 2004, Gregg served as production manager for one of the region's largest churches.  In recent years at Orchard Hill he and the IMAG team built a full size TV control room. It consists of 5 cameras, Ross 422 switcher and a wonderful team of volunteers to keep it all on the air. You can samples of their fine work on YouTube. He is also an accomplished sound engineer who was behind the board for WTAE's first live stereo broadcast. His Emmy Award-winning stint at WTAE included serving as sound engineer for Channel 4 Action News, the Cappelli & Company children's show. He rounded out his duties at Channel 4 by serving as chief sound engineer and music segment producer for their annual Project Bundle-Up Telethon, which raised funds to purchase warm outerwear for children in need.

Gregg spends his time at Viewpoint fixing computers, loading the “film” look in cameras and making audio converts out of his peers. "Even though they hate audio," he quips, "they still love the audio guy." He is quick to point out that his co-workers are what he likes best about working at Viewpoint.

When asked about his favorite VPS moment, Gregg replied, "My favorite moment occurred many years ago -- picking up TV equipment with Mark Fallone out of the Artzberger's garage in West View, where Viewpoint got its start. We got free cookies, too! Little did I know that Bill, Jill, and Jim would spend the next twenty years building a business so I could continue my career. Thanks!"

Gregg's can often be found trying to himself in the beautiful four-foot deep pond at his mansion.
