Mike Kendlick

Michael received his BSBA in Communications Management from Robert Morris College and is an SBE Certified Broadcast Engineer. He spent fifteen years in the business as an accomplished Director and Technical Director before moving into the engineering side of the business and most recently serving as WPXI's Satellite Truck Engineer, before joining VPS in July of 2005. In 2006 he was nominated for a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award as the Director of the “Comcast High School Football Game of the Week”. Michael relates that his most memorable Viewpoint Production moment was, "Moving the production truck five feet to the right after it was completely set in Detroit at the Super Bowl -- but dinner at the Bistro made up for it!"

"The TV business is uglier than most things. It is normally perceived as some kind of cruel and shallow money trench through the heart of the journalism industry, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs, for no good reason." -- Hunter S. Thompson

What does Michael find appealing about his job, apart from the smell of television production in the morning? "The people, everyone from the clients to the freelancers to everyone here. With the right people, we can do anything -- and have."

In his spare time, Michael can be found spending time with his family, trying to figure out what exotic sports car he should buy when he hits the lottery, and volunteering at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum. You might catch him munching on some pizza or savoring a Knob Creek Bourbon and water -- maybe even while he's rooting for the Penguins, watching a James Bond flick, or catching the most recent episode of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.

Michael is the proud father of daughter, Ana and son, Ayden.
